Lawrence Aimoe is a strategic advisor with more than three decades of experience across policing, justice, governance, and public-sector leadership.
A commissioned veteran of the RCMP, Lawrence served for over 30 years in frontline, supervisory, and senior roles, bringing deep operational and leadership experience in complex and high-risk environments. His experience also includes senior executive roles within provincial government, including leading the establishment of an Aboriginal consultation office, providing him with a lived understanding of how Indigenous–Crown engagement, policy development, and operational decision-making intersect in practice.
In addition to his policing and executive background, Lawrence has served as a professor and educator, supporting leadership development and applied learning within justice and public safety contexts. His advisory work focuses on justice systems, governance design, community safety, and implementation strategies that are realistic, defensible, and grounded in lived operational experience.
He has advised Chiefs, senior government officials, boards, and executive leadership teams on complex justice, governance, and community safety initiatives.
Lawrence is known for his steady, pragmatic approach and his ability to support leaders through complex, high-stakes decision-making with clarity and credibility.
Melissa Gillis-Aimoe

Melissa Gillis-Aimoe is a senior strategic advisor with over two decades of experience working directly with Treaty organizations, First Nations leadership, provincial government, institutions, and executives across governance, policy, and community-focused initiatives.
Her experience includes senior advisory roles supporting Treaty organizations and First Nations governments, as well as advisory and facilitation work with provincial government, public institutions, and post-secondary institutions on governance reform, policy development, and strategic planning. Across these roles, she has supported leadership, practitioners, and learners through cross-cultural understanding, systems navigation, and applied governance education.
Melissa is widely recognized for her ability to advise, facilitate, and educate across cultural and institutional contexts—translating complex legal, policy, and jurisdictional issues into clear, decision-ready guidance that supports leadership accountability and practical implementation. Her work is grounded in lived experience navigating Indigenous governance systems, institutional environments, and multi-jurisdictional policy tables.
She has advised Chiefs and Councils, Treaty leadership, Deputy Ministers, boards, senior executives, and post-secondary leaders on governance, policy, and strategic initiatives across diverse settings.
Melissa brings a calm, analytical, and solutions-focused approach to her advisory work, supporting leaders to move from strategy to action while remaining accountable to communities, partners, and institutions.
